Last night, I watched the movie "The Hunt" ($20 on Amazon) which is, in the most shallow interpretation, about rich liberal elites shooting conservatives / Trump supporters for sport. I really enjoyed the film which I didn't consider it as "woke". Yes, it contains fairly extreme violence, but it also is a tight satire of how stereotypes and extreme adherence to dogma don't mix well - filled with metaphors and ironic one-liners ("Go fuck yourself, Liberty" ). If you've seen the film, what was most striking to you? For me, it's another reason to re-read "Animal Farm"!
[vox.com] (if VOX hates it, it's almost an endorsement?)
The Hunt is a satire that sends up both the left and the right. There’s nothing woke about it.
Non-stop action, super dark humour, and plenty of feel-good revenge! Ben Shapiro interviewed producer Jason Blum — known for The Purge, Paranormal Activity and Get Out — on last week’s Sunday Show.
Saw trailers and never watched...obvious it is Red propaganda anti-Deplorable trash. Because once again the left does not hate TRUMP 2020 as much as they HATE his supporters.
We did Animal Farm as English Litterature in high school.
It changed me at the age 16. Read 1984 directly after that. Really influenced me.
Wonder if it will be allowed in today’s liberal schools.
Orwell was on the left. He went to Spain to shoot fascists.
I think they would be surprised how ready the rural Americans are for this, and the idea that the safe space crowd could ever be a real threat is ludicrious
it's ironic that the right have managed to be terrified of the "safe space" crowd for five years or so now?
@Admin Since you mentioned it, did you see the 1999 movie Animal Farm? That one was good.
I've not... looks like it's free on Youtube
@Admin Check it out if you get some spare time, it was good.
@iThink Quick fact: the voice of Squealer was the actor who played the synthetic human Ash in the movie Alien (Ian Holm).

@SpikeTalon thanks for posting.
