Those who tear down statues aren't erasing history. They're committing acts of vandalism. They love the drama and get swept away by emotion, but to what end? It doesn't change history. Statues are erected because they represent something. If it represents something a particular group doesnt like, and thus deserves to be torn down, then all statues should be fair game. Add to that the fact that our political system is deeply entrenched in a three-party system, which makes it virtually impossible for a third party to win. Yeah, I agree advertising has gone too far. If someone wants to engage in a promiscuous lifestyle, that's their business. But I don't need that stuff in the middle of...well, anything. I guess decency and decorum are out of style.
