RobBlair comments on Oct 25, 2019:
Slow at first then suddenly. Let's look at Venezuela: - Removal of gun ownership would have to happen first. - Government control over communication, health industry, etc... - Jobless rate skyrockets, markets fall, government mandates increase to pretend the failures can be fixed by the same organization that is screwing things up. - Starvation and riots become normal. Army is mobilized to combat riots and dictator is locked in. - freedom is over.

Gone Viral When It Shouldn't Have - Identity of Gender-Questioning Child Exposed After Websites ...
RobBlair comments on Oct 25, 2019:
11 out of 12 people in a Texas jury decided that the mother should receive full custody of this child. Clearly I'm missing that whole side of the story. Even so, the ideas that: - A 7 year old knows things is quite silly. - His mother, a licensed doctor specializing in pediatrics, should engage in encouraging this behavior, is evil. - A whole Psychology college that affirms physical treatment for children under the age of consent is evil. I want to believe the father but I can wait for more of my people to read the court transcript and report on what transpired. I don't need to wait to fully condemn this institutional child abuse and the college of Psychology that supports this practice. We do have a social responsibility, on the state level, to legislate against this. Something to the effect of "any medical doctor, who recommends or performs transitioning to a patient under the age of 18 shall be subject to removal of license, fine and potential jail." They can't vote for our next jack ass but we're to believe that they can decipher and navigate through the minefield that gender identity has become.
Can't say I trust polls anymore.

When Medical Debt Collectors Decide Who Gets Arrested
RobBlair comments on Oct 23, 2019:
"Since the Affordable Care Act of 2010, prices for medical services have ballooned" - let that sink in "Three nearby hospitals in this rural region have closed in the past several years" - if you want a nearby hospital people need to pay their bills. "“I haven’t received a bill,” he told me, slouched over his turquoise shorts. “The only thing I received was this summons.”" - sounds like an adequate defense to me. "it’s great that cash bail is applied to the debt." - Totally disagree. "I asked him whether he thought that the system in Coffeyville was effectively imprisonment for debt, in a country that has outlawed debtors’ prisons. “The only thing they’re in jail for is not appearing,” he replied. “I do my job, I follow the law. You just have to show up in court.”" - a summons once every three months is harassment.

Actually a great ad for telling fathers to suck it up and be a man or you'll have to eat disgusting non-meat substitutes while you slowly watch your children disavow your ball-less delusional self and engage with fringe lunatics like Antifa in order to find meaning in life. RobBlair comments on Oct 9, 2019:
We need to have a talk about "Civil Disobedience" in liberal democracies. No one is denying these fruit loops the right to vote like the blacks were in the US South during the Civil Rights movement. There is no foreign occupation like the time of Gandhi in India. They are not a neglected colony. This is not Hong Kong. Their representatives are not acting unlawfully (sidenote - maybe in regards to Brexit they are) If they mobilize the electorate, they will be able to forward their agenda. Any "Civil Disobedience" given these circumstances, should be met with the full weight of the law against them.
I thought there was such thing as "freedom of religion".
RobBlair comments on Oct 8, 2019:
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is widely praised as a landmark in the march against racist policies against blacks in the US. However, title 2 and title 7 of the act are demonstrably unconstitutional. Title 2 - All persons shall be entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, and privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, as defined in this section, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin... Title 7 - It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer - to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, because of such individual's race, color, religion, sex, or national origin; ... Per the first amendment - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. In short, any court order for or against a religious expression or any Federal action against our right to freely associate is an overstep of our government's enumerated powers. I wish Clarence Thomas a speedy recovery.

Something that needs to be considered - terrorist places bombs in auto-driving trucks and instructs them to cross bridges, park under buildings and near soft targets. All this is done by someone who doesn't have to be anywhere near the final devastation. Clearly, this is a situation worth avoiding. We could go to a non-autonomous system where vehicles are registered onto a subscription service that manges each vehicle in their system. A civilian must be registered for each vehicle and there should be a requirement that the civilian is present in the vehicle while traveling. As for insurance, the system driving the car must be responsible for its mistakes.

If the goal of climate change activists is to accomplish an economically sustained environment for the betterment of humanity, then demonizing farmers makes no sense. If the goal is to eliminate the impact that humans have on our environment, then getting rid of humanity is the answer. More likely, most activists just want to deliver more control of our lives into government control so that our betters in places of authority can do the responsible things (what could go wrong?). Of course our legislature will only be interested in simplifying the policies when the public demands it. So for now we get half measures and special interests torturing the policies into bureaucratic hell.
